Good Morning Football Hosts Push Back On Rumor Show May Be Ending

Is Good Morning Football – the NFL Network show that used to be good but stopped being good once Kay Adams left – ending after seven years?

Nope. Not exactly. But it is going dark for about four months before training camp while execs ship the show out west to Gavin Newsom's crime-riddled California. 

That was the news NBC tried to break Wednesday evening, but, of course, it led to mayhem on social media. 

It all started with a somewhat ominous tweet from Mike Florio – aren't they all? – around 8:30 Wednesday. 

"NFLN's New York-based Good Morning Football is ending its run on March 29. It will return later this year (date TBD) as an L.A.-based show, likely with a two-hour footprint from 8-10 a.m. ET/5-7 a.m. PT."

Shortly after the news began to spread, one of the show's hosts – Kyle Brandt – stepped in to dispel any rumors the show was ending. He doubled down on that during Thursday morning's show:

Look, I used to love Good Morning Football. Seriously, it used to be a staple in my house. I was there way back in the beginning when it was actually good, and watchable, and fun. 

But let's be honest … it sort of stinks now. That's not just me saying it. You wanna know what 90% of the tweets were last night when the news broke that the show would be going through some pretty major changes?

And they are 100% right. 

Losing Queen Kay Adams to Fanduel and Nate Burleson to CBS nearly two years ago completely derailed that show. That's not a knock on new host Jamie Erdhal, because she's good, but she ain't Kay Adams.
