Gold for Ireland's Robyn Byrne at WDF Europe Cup
Dubliner Robyn Byrne claimed gold for Ireland at the World Darts Federation Europe Cup in Slovakia on Saturday.
Byrne, who earlier this month won her second PDC Women's Series event in Wigan, defeated Noa-Lynn van Leuven of the Netherlands 7-4 in the ladies' singles final in Samorin.
There was a bronze medal for Dublin's Katie Sheldon, who lost out to Byrne in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Donegal's Adrian Devine took silver after a narrow defeat in the men's singles final.
Devine lost 7-5 to Dutch player Dennie Olde Kalter.
Byrne, Sheldon, Caroline Breen and Ailish Finnan finished second overall in the ladies section, while Ireland's Conor Heneghan and Michael Flynn claimed bronze in the men's pairs category.
