Since Leeds United made their way out of the Championship and back into the Premier League, they have shown that they are capable of spending significant amounts of money on bringing new players to Elland Road.

And, now that the Yorkshire club have Jesse Marsch at the helm, the next summer transfer window could be another eventful one for the Whites.

In fact, it seems as though a clue has been dropped over what sort of business Leeds could be looking to do over the summer.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, journalist and transfer insider Dean Jones had this to say about the summer window and one area of Leeds’ squad that the Yorkshire club could look to strengthen when it opens.

He said: “They’re undoubtedly going to sign a new striker. Personally, I think they will look for someone who’s already done it in the Premier League because they’ve seen other players, Rodrigo, for example, he’s a great player, but he’s taken a long time to understand life in the Premier League.”

With 32 league games played this term, the Whites have found the back of the net 38 times, 12 fewer than the 50 they managed to score by this point last season.

This could be down to the fact that Patrick Bamford has been incredibly unlucky with injuries in this campaign and has only been able to make nine league appearances this time around.

Having scored 17 goals and registered eight assists over his 38 Premier League appearances last season, it’s safe to say that the Englishman has been a big miss for his side and a major factor as to why they have found scoring rather difficult at times this time out.
