Gogglebox stars Stephen and Daniel quit Channel 4 show after 10 years as fans left 'devastated'

A much-loved Gogglebox duo have announced they are quitting the Channel 4 show as fans say they have been left 'devastated'. Stephen Webb, 50, and husband Daniel Lustig, 46, revealed their time on the popular reality programme was ending ahead of the next series.

Stephen has been a staple of the show for the last 10 years, ever since it first began back in 2013. He originally appeared on the programme with his former partner Chris Butland-Steed who was replaced by Stephen's mum before his now-husband Daniel joined him.

Announcing the news to fans on Thursday (Sept 7) Stephen took to his Instagram to tell his 119,000 followers about his departure. His post read: "After careful consideration, Daniel and I have decided we will not be returning for the new series of Gogglebox. We feel the time is right to move on and explore other opportunities."

Gutted fans quickly flocked to the comment section to react to the news, with one saying: "Oh no... ruined my day this... but good luck on your next venture." While another commented: "Oh no you will be really missed, your both so funny together, good luck in your future ventures."
