Goal threat from Clare a concern for Kerry - Enda McGinley

On paper, Kerry's defence of their Munster SFC crown may have looked straightforward but Enda McGinley believes the goal chances created by Clare will concern Kingdom manager Jack O'Connor.

Last year's All-Ireland runners-up were seven-point victors in the end, 0-23 to 1-13, but Clare had other opportunities, in addition to Ikem Ugwueru's late goal.

"Kerry's defence has always been under the microscope because they have so much talent upfront. People will always look [to see] how they are defensively," former Tyrone midfielder McGinley said on The Sunday Game.

"There were a few issues that you know they’ll take a look at."

Speaking about a Clare point fisted by Gavin Murray, three-time All-Ireland winner McGinley said: "Kerry just switch off and allow a really easy back-door move, which you know the likes of Dublin are going to punish really heavily."
