GMB star Ranvir Singh says 'I'm okay to talk about it now' after major life event
Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh has given an insight into her relationship history as she says she's now willing to "embrace" it.
Speaking on the Kate Thornton podcast, White Wine Question Time, the mum-of-one opened up on her pregnancy in 2012 as she split from her husband shortly before her son's birth.
Speaking about that period in her life for the first time, the 47-year-old said: "I've actually been a single mum since I was seven months pregnant and I've kept that so quiet, but I'm okay to talk about it now.
"It's funny because when people say 'oh does it bother you when things are written (about you)' but now I'm at a point in my life where I think that I'm learning to embrace my whole life and not compartmentalise it as much, to keep everything separate."
Ranvir was experiencing becoming a mum for the first time just as she was embarking on what was to be the beginning of a highly successful TV career.
Opening up on how she balanced her pregnancy whilst starting her presenting role on ITV, Ranvir said: "It was quite interesting because I'd never done breakfast TV before either, and so, it was this sort of strange convergence of two massive things that people might do at separate times. You know, you might go and work on breakfast television and deal with the shifts or you might have a baby and be knackered for two years."
She added: "But in a weird way I was like 'how tired can one person be?' like, whatever I choose here I'm going to be absolutely shot through."
In October, Ranvir spoke to Holly Rubenstein on her Travel Diaries podcast about her desire to explore as "much of the world" as possible with her son.
