Glazers protest banner featuring Sir Jim Ratcliffe revealed ahead of Manchester United v Liverpool

A banner featuring Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been revealed ahead of Manchester United vs Liverpool tonight, where fans will protest against the Glazer family.

United are due to take on their bitter rivals Liverpool tonight as another supporter-led protest against the Glazer family's ownership of the club is scheduled to take place. In May 2021 the same two teams saw their behind-closed-doors match postponed after some fans broke into Old Trafford in the aftermath of the failed European Super League plan.

Momentum for tonight's protest has been building for a while with the hashtag '#EmptyOldTrafford' trending on social media as fans decide to voice their anger at the club's current owners. Recent talk of a takeover bid has only increased the support behind the protest with fans hoping that the Glazers finally relinquish control over the club.

Ahead of the match tonight, a protest banner has been revealed that will be on display as fans march from the Tollgate pub to Old Trafford. The banner was shown on social media after a video was shared on Twitter by a United fan group called 'The 1958'.
