Glamour and pink galore: Barbie fans don stunning outfits ahead of the highly-anticipated premiere

It’s even created Barbiecore - a vibrant style paying homage to the iconic Barbie doll - which is captivating aspects of pop culture from fashion and beauty over social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.

The trend has people stepping into the world of pink aesthetics and charm, as fans take the opportunity to embrace their inner Barbie, donning pink dresses to daring cowgirl fits showcasing their love for the iconic doll and her influence on style through the years.

So we went to speak to fans in Manchester city centre about their glamorous looks for the Barbie film as part of our series Steal Your Style.

It's sustainable, bright and very pink for 36-year-old Marnie Ahmed from Prestwich. Marnie's fit is the workings of pieces she's found from local charity shops and pre-loved fashion websites like Vinted and Depop - an ever-growing popular way of thrifting.

"I am obsessed with sustainability - and I had to incorporate that on Barbie day," she said.

"I'm wearing this coat that I absolutely love and is my treasure from Depop. It was impossible for me to avoid it given the colour and it's about standing out while keeping me really warm. The shirt is from ASOS - it was from the sample sales which is practically £5 everything. It's a bargain and always worth having a browse through.
