Girl, 15, fighting for life in Turkey after paraglider crash-lands on her during family meal

A teenager is fighting for her life after a paraglider crashed into her as she ate with her family during a holiday in Turkey. Lily Nichol, 15, is now battling for survival in hospital following the accident on the final day of her trip.

The teen is understood to have sustained serious injuries, including a brain haemorrhage, a fractured jaw, and a potentially broken back, with further surgeries scheduled for today (November 9).

Her distraught mother, Lyndsey, has set up a GoFundMe page to cover the medical expenses as the family travelled without insurance, facing bills running into thousands. To date, approximately 400 donors have contributed over £5,000.

"He's landed on her while we were sat at our table. She is in intensive care with a broken jaw broken ribs, bleed on brain and possibly a broken back.", reports the Mirror.

"Stupid me forgot to take out holiday insurance. So far the hospital bill is £7,000, that's only for today's treatment. She needs an operation on her jaw which is more money."

"Me and my daughter are having to pay for hotels, taxis to and from hospital. Please even £1, I'm a desperate mam. I cant loose my little girl she had a stroke and was unconscious during this trauma my baby girl is in a bad way. I just want to get her home."
