Gillingham’s Bradley Dack nominated for the Sky Bet League 2 November player-of-the-month award along with Ryan Finnigan (Walsall), Omar Sowunmi (Bromley) and Charlie Whitaker (Tranmere)

Bradley Dack has been nominated for the Sky Bet League 2 player-of-the-month award.

Dack’s contribution to Gillingham at both ends of the pitch was noted as he scored twice but was also well placed to make two goal-line clearances.

The Sky Bet nomination states that: “Dack’s minutes are being managed, but his quality and football intelligence continue to shine through at both ends.

“In four games, he made two points-saving clearances off the line and scored two stunners, against Crawley and Barnet.”

He might have scored twice more, but penalty duty has been switched from Dack to Robbie McKenzie, who scored twice from the spot in November.

Dack scored against Crawley with a set-piece corner routine straight off the training ground and picked out the top corner from a free-kick against Barnet.

The 31-year-old has been a big influence on the team since regaining his fitness - captaining the side during Armani Little’s absence - and was a key man again at the weekend, which drew praise from fellow midfielder Ethan Coleman.

“He's very experienced and he's very good technically with the ball,” Coleman said, following the goalless draw at Colchester.

“We see it in training every day. He's a fantastic player to have on the team. And the shots that he had (on Saturday), you see him in training putting them in.

“With his technique and his leadership skills, he's fantastic to have on your team.”

Dack’s in the running for the monthly award along with Walsall’s energetic midfielder Ryan Finnigan, netting three goals to help take them top of the table.
