Gillingham 4 Dartford 1: Ashley Nadesan (2), Jayden Clarke and Ronald Sithole score in friendly at Priestfield after Brandon Barzey’s early opener

Ashley Nadesan scored twice for Gillingham on Tuesday night in a friendly match against Dartford.

Gills manager Neil Harris used the match to give some of his senior players much-needed minutes, including forward Nadesan, whose double helped the Gills to a 4-1 win.

Clarke hit the inside of the post for Gills and it was level at the break.

A second Gillingham goal came six minutes into the second half, Nadesan converting after being played in by Josh Chambers.

Ronald Sithole - on at half-time for Jefferies - made it 3-1 with a shot into the bottom corner after Walker’s initial effort had been blocked.

Clarke scored the fourth from the edge of the box just before the hour mark, which prompted a host of substitutions as Walker, Clarke, Nadesan and Clark made way for Joe Gbode, Kieron
