Ghostbusters VR: Release Date, Trailer, and Everything We know So Far

Ghostbusters VR is a brand new game coming for Oculus Meta Quest and here’s all the things so far shared about this VR title.

Ghostbusters is among the oldest franchises and it is getting some modern touch as a new VR game based on the film franchise of the same name is now in the works.

In the recently held Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, a Ghostbusters VR game was announced, allowing a lot of fans and newcomers to jump in and bust down ghosts.

Here’s all we know about the upcoming Ghostbusters VR game.

Ghostbusters VR is an upcoming co-op game for the Oculus Meta Quest 2 where players will be able to take down ghosts all while uncovering bizarre ghostly activities.

The game will take place in San Fransisco and is being developed by nDreams, the developers who have previously worked on Phantom: Covert Ops and Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity.

Ghostbusters VR will be published by Sony Pictures VR. As per the press release, this new game will act as a “new chapter in the Ghostbusters universe” and won’t be based on prior adaptations. 

You will also be able to work with your friends as Ghostbusters VR will support co-op. A maximum of three players will be able to play together. The game will also feature the well-known proton pack, the device ghostbusters use to catch ghosts.

As of writing this article, Ghostbusters VR has no confirmed release date. However, the executive producer of Oculus, Ruth Bram, has stated that all the games revealed during the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase 2022 event will come out within the next year or so.

This means that we might be able to get our hands on the game sometime during the holiday season this year or in early 2023.
