George Kambosos Jr vs Devin Haney: lightweight unification bout confirmed
George Kambosos Jr and Devin Haney will meet this summer in a blockbuster lightweight title unification fight.
For months now fans have been wondering what the next step would be for George Kambosos Jr. The Australian sensation is 20-0 and across the last six months, he’s been one of the most talked about names in boxing.
The reason for this is his split decision triumph over Teofimo Lopez which sent shockwaves through the sport.
Devin Haney, meanwhile, is an impressive unbeaten figure in his own right – but has yet to really take that next step up and fulfil his true potential.
This contest will give both men the opportunity to shine like they never have before in what is being dubbed one of the biggest boxing matches in the history of Australia.
It’ll take place at Marvel Stadium in front of what is expected to be a sell-out crowd. Interestingly enough, it’ll mark the first time Kambosos Jr has been back to his homeland for a fight since October 2017 when he beat Krai Setthaphon to move to 13-0.
