Genshin Impact 2.8 Update: Golden Apple Archipelago Returning According to Leak

Genshin Impact 2.8 Update is anticipated to be released at some point in June 2022, and new leaks have indicated that the Golden Apple Archipelago will be returning to the game as part of the update.

The area was originally featured in the massively popular gacha title as part of the 1.6 update. The Archipelago was a massive addition to the game, based around Klee and a new adventure (at the time).

Fans were quite disappointed when it was eventually removed from the game after the event during the 1.6 iteration of the game ended. Thankfully, new leaks appear to suggest that the area may well be returning as part of the 2.8 Update of the game.

Here’s everything that we know so far about the Golden Apple Archipelago possibly making a return as part of the 2.8 Update of Genshin Impact.

Noted Genshin Impact compiler of leaks @SaveYouPrimos uploaded some information that they had collated from the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Discord.

They wrote: “[Semi-reliable – Alleged! DD] Uncle DD’s alleged alt account has claimed the following:

“- Golden Apple Archipelago rerun in 2.8

– Male character “expected” to appear in 2.8 or 3.0

– Dendro [female child] character release in 3.1”

It’s worth noting that this is a semi-reliable leak, so as of right now it is certainly worth taking with a grain of salt.

The Archipelago was originally featured in Genshin Impact as the game’s biggest ever Summer event. There were activities such as sailing, showcasing beaches and more when the Archipelago was originally introduced to the game, so a release as part of the 2.8 Update in June 2022 would certainly make sense.
