Gemma Atkinson 'can't believe' it as she prepares for fresh milestone with baby son amid message to Gorka Marquez

Gemma Atkinson is preparing for the next big step with her baby son after saying she 'can't believe' he's now eight months old. The Hits Radio host welcomed her second child into the world with her fiance Gorka Marquez in July last year.

The couple, who met on the BBC One dance contest in 2017 and recently celebrated their sixth anniversary, announced they were expanding their brood in January 2023 with Thiago Thomas Marquez, known as Tio for short, made his arrival on July 16, just over four years after Gemma and Gorka welcomed their first child, daughter Mia, in the world.

But the months appear to be hurtling by and as Gemma, 39, prepares to return to the radiowaves in April, she's also preparing for another big moment but with her second born.

Taking to Instagram at the weekend, the former Hollyoaks actress uploaded a clip of her tot crawling on all fours whilst at home in Manchester. In the video, Tio could be seen inching his way towards one of the family's two pet dogs - Ollie and Norman - whilst books and toys were also scattered around him.

Sharing an update with her fans, Bury-born wrote in a caption: "Tio's going in his own room in March. He's doing so well bless him, we feel he's ready. It's actually us waking him with school alarms most mornings, so he may sleep better. I remember with Mia it was much harder for me than her."

She added: "But I was told it's easier for a baby 8-12 months to move into their room than trying with an older baby or toddler… It worked with Mia though, so fingers crossed [the] second time is a success! I
