Gary O'Neil has already given clear response amid Manchester United links
Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Gary O'Neil has made his stance about his future clear amid links to Manchester United.
It has been claimed by ESPN that United want to speak with O'Neil about a potential new coaching role at Old Trafford. Speculation over Erik ten Hag's future has continued since Sir Jim Ratcliffe took over.
United are operating under the working assumption Ten Hag will remain in charge next season although the Manchester Evening News understands Ratcliffe is "not completely sold" on the Dutchman. The former Ajax head coach has been involved in the club's planning ahead of the summer transfer window and pre-season, although the final decision will be made by incoming CEO Omar Berrada.

That said, Ratcliffe has already set to work on a major shake-up behind the scenes, which includes the appointment of Berrada and the likely arrival of Dan Ashworth from Newcastle United. According to the report from ESPN, however, it could also oinclude building a new coaching structure.
Although the exact role is not specified, it could potentially be the head coach role following O'Neil's success with Bournemouth in the past, and now, Wolves. O'Neil arrived at Molineux last summer after being dismissed by Bournemouth despite guiding them to Premier League safety. The club currently sit ninth in the table following 11 wins so far this campaign.
Although the link may come as a surprise to many, O'Neil has made a name for himself in the English top-flight. His achievements with Wolves and Bournemouth have reportedly caught the eye
