Gareth Bale was the hero for Wales during their Thursday night World Cup qualifier against Austria.

The Real Madrid striker, who has been in the spotlight this week due to a scathing report from Spanish newspaper Marca, stole the headlines again last night, netting two sublime goals that saw The Dragons best their visitors 2-1 at the Cardiff City stadium.

And while we know the capabilities of the 32-year-old winger, he reminded us last night of why he is considered one of the greatest players to have ever graced the beautiful game.

If you weren’t watching, Bale firstly set the home crowd alight with a 25-yard free-kick that he sent soaring in the top right-hand corner of the goal.
