Galusha wins tiebreaker, will face Crawford in playoff

Northwest Territories' Team Kerry Galusha defeated Mackenzie Zacharias' Manitoba rink 8-6 on Friday morning to book their spot in the playoffs at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Galusha will now face Andrea Crawford's New Brunswick in the playoff draw at 1pm et/10am pt. on Friday, with the winner advancing to face Canada's Team Einarson in the page seeding round Friday night.

Northwest Territories fourth Jo-Ann Rizzo made potentially the shot of the tournament in the eighth end against Manitoba with an around the horn shot to score three and take a commanding five-point lead. 

Galusha's rink improved to 6-3 at the Scotties with the tiebreaker win, which they were forced into after dropping two of three game over the previous two days.

New Brunswick, who went 6-2 in pool play, won their first five games before dropping two of their last three in Thunder Bay.
