Ahead of the FIFA World Cup in 2014, due to be held in Brazil, Jesus was living in a high density neighbourhood, fantasising about playing for his beloved country one day.

In fact, photos he shared of himself and his friends decorating their local streets in the weeks building up to that 2014 global showpiece show just how far he has come.

In the images, a barefoot Jesus is seen painting the pavements in the iconic green and yellow colours of Brazil alongside some of his friends.
