Arsenal have confirmed that Gabriel Jesus will wear the number nine jersey following his transfer from Manchester City.
Jesus has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners over the last few months as manager Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his frontline following Alexandre Lacazette's departure at the end of last month. revealed back in April, that the Spaniard was keen on the 25-year-old, who won four Premier League titles in his last five years at the Etihad Stadium.
Now, Arsenal have officially unveiled Jesus as their fourth signing of the summer - following deals for American goalkeeper Matt Turner, young winger Marquinhos and talented Portuguese playmaker Fabio Vieira. The north London club also confirmed that the former Palmeiras star would don the number nine shirt, taking the number from the aforementioned Lacazette, who decided to rejoin Ligue 1 side Lyon.
