Gabby Agbonlahor takes swipe at Arsenal for what they did after Aston Villa win
Former Aston Villa man Gabby Agbonlahor says Arsenal "over did the celebrations" after beating Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday.
Bukayo Saka's first half goal proved to be the difference between the sides as the Gunners returned to winning ways after a midweek home defeat to Liverpool. The win saw Mikel Arteta's side move four points clear of Manchester United in fifth place.
Steven Gerrard's Villa meanwhile, suffered their second consecutive loss in the league, but still remain ninth place, level on points with Leicester City in 10th.
Agbonlahor, who represented Villa for 13 seasons, becoming the club's all time top goal scorer said on March 20, 2022 " rel="Follow" target="_self">talkSPORT: "The way they celebrated at the end of the game it's like they'd won the Champions League.
"I know it was a great result but the scenes, we were right behind the fans and it was like they'd won the league, not beating Aston Villa, a team they should be beating.
"I think they over did the celebrations, Arsenal."
