This is the moment a furious dad-of-two confronted fly-tippers dumping a 7 ft fridge next to his house in Salford. David Holmes, 47, from Weaste said he ordered the pair to take back the large and 'dangerous' fridge after catching them in the act.

The confrontation happened on Edward Avenue where David lives and he says the two men were from a local takeaway in the area.

The tree surgeon told the MEN how he had been on the phone with Salford Council while the two men were dumping the fridge. He says that the council worker told him they would come and pick up the junk later on in the day but he was unsatisfied with the answer and ‘lost control’ before heading out to speak to the fly-tippers himself. A fed up David told the MEN that the piece of land next door to his home has become a hot spot for fly-tippers. He told the MEN that he and members of the community often carry out litter picking days but says the issue has become worse and they can no longer ‘keep up’.
