Fuming amateur jockey claims he was 'abused' by Nico de Boinville in astonishing Cheltenham Festival rant
Amateur jockey Declan Queally slammed big name rival Nico de Boinville in a furious war of words at the Cheltenham Festival.
It came after a chaotic start to the opening race, the Turners Novices’ Hurdle, on day two at Prestbury Park.
The start to the race was delayed with jockeys fighting for position and both Queally and De Boinville, on Act of Innocence, were involved in the melees, with the two making their feelings perfectly clear after the race.
And during an interview for ITV Sport immediately after there race, Queally said: "Being abused by an English rider, Nico de Boinville, not very nice. I am an amateur, coming over here riding in front of my kids. Horrific."
