FSG not done yet: Klopp eyes "clever" £25m-rated gem, he'd "suit Liverpool" perfectly - opinion

Liverpool have completed the signing of three new players to join the squad at Anfield this summer, and now a new update has emerged on a potential fourth signing that could be on the cards before the transfer window closes.

According to 90min, Liverpool are reigniting their interest in Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus.

Liverpool were linked with the player 12 months ago in the last summer transfer window when they were looking to sign a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, but did not progress their interest further.

The player is currently rated at £25m by Football Observatory.

There is no doubt there is definitely an opportunity for change in the centre of the pitch at Anfield, and it has been reported that FSG are focusing their efforts on improving the midfield and identifying players for the future.

James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will all be out of contract in less than a year, with Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson both coming to the latter stages of their career, proving that it could now be time for the powers at the club to start bringing in the future of the midfield.

Neuhaus who was hailed “clever” by journalist Ronan Murphy, has been impressing in the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach and is shaping up to be the complete midfielder.

Over 28 league appearances last season, Neuhaus scored four goals, delivered four assists and created four big chances. He also made two tackles, 1.1 interceptions and took 1.6 shots per game, as well as winning the majority of his duels (56%) and successfully completing the majority of his dribbles (69%).

Former Liverpool forward Emile Heskey claimed that the £51k-per-week talent would “suit Liverpool” in an interview last year
