From fat to fit: Wisdom Azubuike sets sights on bodybuilding gold

If you are familiar with the fitness scene in Nigeria, then Wisdom Azubuike is no stranger to your screen, and as is usual with celebrities and internet sensations, hearing their “Government names” can be confusing and often hilarious.

Wisdom Azubuike is a 26-year-old Bodybuilder who hails from Eastern Nigeria, Anambra state, he’s a budding entrepreneur with a handful of successful businesses to his name.

While his success in every other facet of his life is amazing, the success he has achieved in the gym while working on his body is the driving force that propels him to take on the world.

He’s a well-established digital creator who enjoys creating content that inspires people to hit the gym, eat healthy, and lose weight. He also provides one-on-one coaching where he shares the expansive knowledge he has garnered over the years with his clients, to help them better themselves.

When asked what inspired him to become a “Gym Rat”, Wisdom took us down memory lane and explained how he was often made fun of in university for his big size, and called several names often reserved for fat people. He despised how those comments and jokes made him feel and ultimately decided to go on a weight loss journey to become healthy and be more comfortable in his own body.

Speaking on his experience, Azubuike said, “During the lockdown of 2020 I decided to take matters into my own hands and lose some weight. I started by going on morning runs and gradually built the confidence to step into the gym, it was during this journey of self-love that I discovered Bodybuilding”. It
