Fresh Everton blow before Leeds as another player now 'unavailable' alongside Mina & Gray

Patrick Boyland has now dropped some more early Everton team news before they play Leeds United at home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Frank Lampard now has a bit of a selection headache on his hands, after he confirmed in his pre-game press conference that both Yerry Mina and Demarai Gray are ruled out of the match, with the former expected to be out for between eight and ten weeks.

With the likes of Ben Godfrey out injured as well, the former Derby County and Chelsea manager simply cannot afford for his squad to get thinner in the middle of a relegation battle.

Taking to Twitter, The Athletic journalist Boyland has now revealed that Vitaliy Mykolenko will also be ‘unavailable’ against the Whites:

“Vitaliy Mykolenko also unavailable for tomorrow.”

It certainly is a blow to be without Mykolenko once more, after attacker Andros Townsend had to fill in at left wing-back in the 3-1 loss away at Newcastle United in the top flight last time out.

He remains the only recognised senior left-back at Goodison Park, after Lucas Digne was sold to Aston Villa, and so losing him means the Merseyside club always have to play someone out of position there.

Mylokenko recorded an inconclusive COVID test last week, and so the Toffees will now be hoping that he is not seriously ill.
