French Grand Prix: Weather forecast for this weekend's race
Formula 1 is back at Circuit Paul Ricard for the latest edition of the French Grand Prix.
It could well be the last edition of the French GP for a while, too, with no contract agreed with Le Castellet or any other French circuit to host a race from next season onwards.
Time will tell what happens there, then, but in the meantime, we’ve got the second half of the season to kick off, with Ferrari looking to maintain their recent winning streak and try and reel in Red Bull.
What’s the weather going to be like this weekend in the south of France, then? We take a look…
Friday sets the tone for the weekend with very warm conditions. Highs of 34C are predicted as well as some gusts of wind up to 25mph.
Saturday continues the trend, with highs of 33C predicted for qualifying. It’ll be all about who can keep their cool and preserve their tyres as to who challenges at the sharp end of the grid here.
Finally, on Sunday, the temperature hits 35C, meaning we’re in for a very warm race for the drivers to contend with.
They’ll be pushing as hard as ever, though, and remaining hydrated throughout the Grand Prix is going to be crucial.
