Frank Lampard heaps praise on non-league Boreham Wood
Frank Lampard spoke very highly of National League side Boreham Wood after Everton beat them 2-0 in the fifth round of FA Cup on Thursday night.
Salomon Rondon scored twice to secure Everton a 2-0 win and confirm their place in the quarter-final of the competition - where they will face Crystal Palace.
Lampard praised The Wood for being 'organised' and making life 'tough' for the Toffees. However, he did question Everton's urgency - claiming the didn't cause their opposition 'enough problems'.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Lampard said: 'Clean sheet but we were too slow in the first half and Boreham Wood were organised, we did not give them enough problems.
'Second half we were more urgent, a brighter performance and we created a lot. You need that goal to give you comfort in a game like this and when we got it, it was comfortable.
'All credit to them, they made it tough for us. It was a big night for them but we got the job done.
