Frank Lampard broke hand celebrating during Everton 1-0 Newcastle

Frank Lampard revealed that he broke his hand celebrating Alex Iwobi’s dramatic winning goal for Everton against Newcastle on Thursday night.

Iwobi sealed a huge three points for the Toffees with a cool finish in the ninth minute of stoppage time.

A total of 14 minutes were added on after a protester attached himself to a goal-post and Everton were under sustained pressure from Newcastle after being reduced to 10 men when midfielder Allan was controversially sent off in the 83rd minute.

However, 10-man Everton somehow snatched the victory when Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s pass found Iwobi, whose left-footed strike nestled into the back of the net.

The goal sparked wild scenes of pandemonium on the pitch, in the Goodison Park stands and even in the dugout.

Everyone associated with Everton were acutely aware of just how important Iwobi’s goal could prove to be in the fight to avoid relegation.

The Toffees now sit three points above 18th-placed Watford and have two games in hand over 16th-placed Leeds United, who currently have one point more than Lampard’s side.

Here’s how Lampard and his backroom staff celebrated Iwobi’s winning goal:

Frank Lampard is BUZZING!He knows how important that goal could be!
