Four things spotted in Manchester United training ahead of Omonia Nicosia fixture

Manchester United players were working hard at Carrington on Wednesday ahead of their Europa League clash against Omonia on Thursday night.

Erik ten Hag's side secured a 3-2 victory over the Cypriot outfit in the corresponding fixture last week, with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial getting on the scoresheet.

The Reds come into the game having defeated Everton in the Premier League on Sunday night thanks to goals from Antony and Cristiano Ronaldo, who grabbed his 700th club goal in the victory over the Merseyside outfit.

Pellistri jokes with Eriksen

Christian Eriksen and Facundo Pellistri appeared to share a joke as the pair were seen smiling during the training session at Carrington, with Scott McTominay also in good spirits in the background.

Pellistri was named on the bench for the two victories over Omonia and Everton respectively, and while the Uruguayan didn't get onto the pitch, his inclusion in the squad shows how highly he is regarded. Meanwhile, Eriksen has continued to impress in the centre of the park and has registered three assists so far this term

Youngsters in first-team training

United youngster Rhys Bennett was spotted in training as he chatted to five-time Champions League winner Casemiro. The defender, who signed a professional contract back in January, has progressed through United's academy. He previously spent time with AFC Wimbledon.

A number of other young stars - including Shola Shoretire and Zidane Iqbal - also took part in the session on Wednesday.
