Fortnite Tournament of Power: Start date, how to join, rewards, and everything we know

Fortnite’s update 21.40 went live today and as always, some great updates and challenges came with it.

With the update, Epic Games brought the Dragon Ball Z x Fortnite collab, with skins, challenges, rewards, and island locations. In addition to all of that, there will be a Tournament of Power event that you can join!

In this piece, we will share information from dates, how to join, and rewards. What’s exciting is that the tournament is Dragon Ball-themed.

The Tournament of Power will start on Thursday, 18th August 2022. In pairs, you will be able to play ten matches in three hours, in your region.

The duo competition is held in Fortnite’s standard Battle Royale mode. The “Kamehameha” and the “Nimbus Cloud” (Kintoun) will also be present in the competition as special powers, though.

The Kamehameha will drop from the sky as deliveries in each game thanks to Capsule Corp. You may grab the Kamehameha and fire destructive energy beams against opponents or call the Nimbus Cloud (Kintoun) to fly over the island.

To register for the Tournament of Power you need to follow these steps:

1. You need to be at least in Division 1

2. Ensure that you have 2 Factor Authentication and it is enabled.

3. Select the cup from the in-game Fortnite Competitive tab at the start of the match

4. Queue with your partner
