Formula 1: Verstappen, Russell, Leclerc, Bottas & more share gruelling training clips ahead of 2022

The 2022 Formula 1 season carries plenty of intrigue with new rules and regulations coming into effect, meaning the cars are going to look drastically different to those in 2021.

Indeed, it’s a season full of the unknown with teams pretty much in total darkness over how their cars are going to perform and over how well they have interpreted the new rules compared to their competitors.

Certainly, in a sport that likes to plan and prepare things to thousandths of a second and fractions of an inch, it’s a recipe for a potentially thrilling, unpredictable season and the 20 drivers tasked with tackling it head on are doing their best to at least be physically as prepared as possible for what lies ahead.

Whilst the off-period is a chance for drivers to relax, it’s also a chance for them to get themselves ready for the coming campaign and, as you can see from a collection of social media posts below, some of them have really been putting themselves through the wringer:
