Formula 1: Ranking every team's car based on new paint schemes
Formula 1 is approaching its new era in 2022 with the new season just around the corner.
Testing took place in Barcelona last week and we got a proper look at each team’s new machine, with some eye-catching colour schemes to boot.
Here, we rank them from 10-1…
10. Haas
Haas have removed the red, white and blue detail they had for chief sponsor Uralkali for reasons well known and it remains to be seen whether or not a new partner is announced in due course.
At the moment, though, it looks largely the same as what it did last year bar that removal and pretty plain – that’s obviously not their fault but we’ll put them in at 10 for now.
9. Red Bull
The Red Bull is a very intriguing-looking thing with dramatic undercuts around the sidepods but we can’t ignore the fact it’s the same livery as pretty much every other Red Bull there’s ever been.
Of course, it’s a classic design and there’s nothing massively wrong with it, but we’re ranking new looks here and bar Oracle’s logo being stuck everywhere it’s as you were with the dark blue, red and yellow.
8. McLaren
We might annoy a few with this low ranking. We liked the McLaren last year and the Gulf livery it had for Monaco but in trying to repeat that for this season we’re not sure it’s quite worked. Even so, plenty like it and so it’s perhaps one to split opinion.
7. Williams
Williams have actually produced a really nice car here, it’s just that so many others have also unveiled stunners. The extra blue makes this a classy looking car.
6. Aston Martin
The Aston has got different shades of green and it looks a step up from the pink touches it had last year – the drivers will hope it’s a step in performance too.
5. Mercedes
The silver is back for the Silver Arrows and it looks
