Formula 1: Max Verstappen driving with one hand at Saudi Arabia GP

During last weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, there was a spectacular moment in the middle of the race as F1 champion Max Verstappen drove one-handed.

In an epic race, Verstappen went toe-to-toe with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc before winning eventually coming out on top in a fierce battle .

Verstappen finally took the lead on lap 43 before Leclerc clawed it back just moments later. 

The same thing happened in the next lap, with the pair changing positions. However, it was Verstappen who would go on to pick up his first win of the F1 season.

Recently, the official F1 Twitter account released some extraordinary footage during the race.

It showed reigning champion Verstappen driving with just one hand as he tried to remove some plastic from his vehicle. 

Whilst driving at 200mph, Max realised that the bit of debris at the front of his car was distracting him from racing the perfect race.

With that being said, after the incident, Verstappen was able to see off the race and challenge Ferrari’s Leclerc. 

After the race, Max said: “It was really tough. It was a good race.

“We were battling hard at the front and I started to play the long game. They are quick in the corners and we are quick on straights but I felt we had a little more pace.
