Formula 1 in Las Vegas: How much is Sin City deal worth?

Las Vegas is known for its big rollers, and Formula 1 are seeing just how big with the staggering amount they are pocketing from the race.

It was announced yesterday that Formula 1 will be adding another American race to the calendar, this time racing around the famous streets of Las Vegas in 2023.

A part of the track will see drivers fly down the iconic Nevada strip, taking in the sights of famous hotels and casinos while going over 200 mph.

The drivers will pass the famous Bellagio Hotel, Caesars Palace and The Venetian.

Rumours, per a report in The Sun are now suggesting that Formula 1 will receive £1billion from race organisers to host a race in Las Vegas.

The race will be a night race, rather fitting for Vegas. The race will be lit up by the bright lights of Las Vegas, and we can expect it to be attended by superstars from all walks of life.

The track will be 3.8 miles long, with top speeds of around 212 mph around the track. There will be three main straights in the track, with 14 corners, including a high-speed cornering sequence.

The Las Vegas race will be the third race in America, a country the sport has been keen to break for some time – the addition of a third race appears to signify a positive view of F1 by Americans.

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said: “This is an incredible moment for Formula 1 that demonstrates the huge appeal and growth of our sport with a third race in the US.
