Former Ole Miss QB Bo Wallace Says He Was 'So High On Pain Pills' During 2014 Egg Bowl Win

Former Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace was left off of a best-of list created by a Rebels fan account. Typically, that sort of thing wouldn't garner any attention from a former star athlete, but not only did Wallace make a comment about the list, he understandably went to bat for himself and in the process revealed a secret the former Ole Miss staff probably didn't want to be revealed.

When it comes to Ole Miss quarterbacks, both Archie and Eli Manning are in leagues of their own when it comes to popularity and superstardom in Oxford. In recent years, however, the Rebels have had a strong run of signal callers, including Chad Kelly, Matt Corral, and Jaxson Dart, which has turned Wallace into a bit of a forgotten man despite putting up big-time numbers during his three years under center.

Wallace threw for over 9,500 yards and found the end zone 81 times as the starting quarterback at Ole Miss and led the Rebels to their biggest win in modern history when they took down Nick Saban and Alabama in October 2014. To put it lightly, Wallace very much helped kickstart the Ole Miss football program back into gear and was a significant stepping stone in starting the consistent engine the team has become today.

All he asks is for a little bit of respect.

Wallace played through significant shoulder and ankle injuries during that 2014 campaign, so he believes he should get a nod for being among the toughest quarterbacks in school history.
