Former Coronation Street star comments as Daniel and Daisy causes viewer divide with Nicky confession

Former Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn has shared a cheeky comment after her late on-screen character made a reappearance during recent scenes on the soap.

The actress is probably best known for her role in Corrie, playing Sinead Osbourne - nee Tinker - in the ITV soap. The much-loved character died in 2019 after battling cervical cancer. In heartbreaking scenes, the newlywed and new mum passed away with her husband Daniel, played by Rob Mallard, by her side.

Following his wife's death, Daniel struggled to cope as a single father of the couple's son Bertie. Viewers saw him paying sex worker Nicky Wheatley to dress up as his late wife Sinead as a way of dealing with his grief. This eventually all come to a head and Nicky ended up leaving the cobbles but made a return last month as Daniel's new co-worker.

But Daniel's girlfriend Daisy Midgely was getting increasingly jealous of her boyfriend and Nicky's friendship so set about a plan. She decided to try and set her up with her ex Ashley without her knowing. When he arrived at the Rovers where Daisy had invited her for a drink, Nicky was embarrassed when he clearly recognised her.

Daisy was then stunned to discover that Ashley knew Nicky from her days as a sex worker and when she confronted Daniel she was in for another shock when he told her that he had also paid Nicky for her time - but not for sex. The pair ended up rowing in the street, overheard by Daniel's pupil and master of manipulation Max Turner.

But back at the flat, Daniel was forced to admit that while he hadn't paid Nicky for anything other than wearing Sinead's clothes, they did sleep together. Daisy ended up
