For £50 a night, you and your mates can book an entire pub to stay in this summer
If you're thinking about booking a few days away this summer, the common choices are usually between a few days in the Lake District or hopping across the border for a trip to Wales. While there are plenty of excellent campsites, Airbnbs and hotels in those regions, we've found somewhere on Sykes Holiday Cottages that has an incredible novelty.
Located just north of the the Shropshire Hills in Bishop's Castle, you can rent out an entire pub that's capable of hosting a huge party of 23 people. With full access to the pub's commercial kitchen and packages available to stock the bar ready for your stay, it's an ideal location for those looking for something a little different in their down time.
Called The Boar's Head, the venue has a total of ten bedrooms, most of which are kitted out with king or double sized beds and smart TVs. You can have up to 23 people staying at one time, making it ideal for stag parties or hen do's, which are accepted by the host.
The location is located extremely close to some stunning scenery, with hikes and walks only a few miles away. The Welsh border is down the road too, making a short hop over to Snowdonia perfectly doable if you're so inclined.
After a day of hiking, you can rest easy in your own private pub, with all of the original fixtures and fittings still intact. A cosy log burner is flanked by several sofas, or there's a games room complete with a pool table, Pac-Man arcade machine and table football.
Oh, and did I mention that there's a hot tub too? This idyllic getaway spot really has it all.
The commercial-grade kitchen has all the appliances you need to cook for such a huge party, including a massive gas oven and induction hob. There's even an industrial dishwasher to make
