Football Manager 2023 is set to come out later this year.
The football management simulation has been one of the most popular PC games of the past 20 years, and has followed an annual release schedule for years.
As a result, we expect to see FM23 released later this year.
We’ve subsequently taken a close look at five of the most unique challenges players can try in the new game.
We’ve already gone through the hardest challenges, but this is more about unique, one-off saves, that can be done at pretty much any club.
Can’t win anything with kids
Only sign players under the age of 23, rely heavily on your youth academy, and try to win your top domestic league, while being competitive in the Champions League.
It’s not an easy thing to do but, eventually, you’ll have enough wonderkids on your books to be able to dominate, if this goes to plan!
Delegation goes a long way
When you take over at a club, tweak the responsibilities of the Director of Football so they are in charge of, well, absolutely everything in the transfer window.
That means they will be signing new players, selling players from your squad, and negotiating new contracts. You’ve got no say in who comes and who goes.
Can you keep winning despite that?
National club
This one is very interesting.
Take over at a club and ensure that your squad is filled with players from just one country. If you’re managing in England, every player needs to be English, and so on.
It means selling every single foreign player on the books; can you make this work?
Moneyball
This challenge has taken on greater prevalence in recent years, with multiple top clubs adopting this strategy, including both Liverpool and Brentford.
