Football fans rock, pop as Cheers to All campaign ends in style

While the world watched Manchester City secure their well-deserved first-ever Champions League trophy, hundreds of passionate football fans and loyal Heineken consumers in Lagos were not left out of the historic moment when Spanish midfielder, Rodri, provided the perfectly-placed winning strike that secured the coveted trophy for Manchester City. 

Throughout this dramatic Champions League season, Heineken went the extra mile to create remarkable experiences for fans across various cities in Nigeria, ultimately selecting Lagos as the venue for the grand finale.

The lineup of football legends, music stars, DJs, and hypemen assembled for the Champions League final had already set high expectations, and it turned out to be an evening that surpassed even the wildest imaginations of the fans and loyal Heineken consumers.

Among the esteemed guests at the Landmark event were former Super Eagles player, Finidi George, who knows what it feels like to lift the Champions League trophy, as well as his ex-teammate, Augustine Eguavoen. Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi, also graced the occasion, sharing the magical night with enthusiastic fans.

Before the official match kick-off, Nigeria’s Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy, delivered a breathtaking performance in an electrifying atmosphere at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium and it wasn’t surprising the energy in Lagos was equally contagious. 

The fans joined in the chorus as the superstar artist delighted them with one hit after another, creating an unforgettable experience. While everyone was behind Burna Boy during his performance, the fans quickly switched and identified with either Man City or Inter when the final match kicked off with only a few staying neutral.
