Paddysco Sports Academy has again raised the bar in grooming young stars. At its 2022 sports fiesta and awards ceremony in Lagos, the academy honoured its outstanding coaches and players. The awards ceremony was held at the City Pride School, Amuwo Odofin.

Speaking at the event, Paddysco Sports Academy, Chief Executive Officer, Peter Azunnaya Okereke, expressed happiness with the growth of the academy, while thanking parents for entrusting them with their children.

“This is the fifth edition of our awards and it has been awesome. We really thank God for where we are today because the number of kids and the patronage we enjoy have increased.

“Also, the kind of international partnership we are having this year, we have not had before. Now, we can boast of various options for taking our players abroad. Indeed, it has been a year blessed with a lot of things.

“The essence of setting up the academy has been met because when we started Paddysco Academy, we were actually looking at replicating what we see in Europe on the television set, which is to catch them young. And we have been able to achieve that,” he said.

Chairman of the event, Mrs. Ijeoma Juliet Ude, commended the management, saying it is encouraging to see children developing their skills and talents among professionals.

The award ceremony witnessed 33 awards handed out to deserving young boys and girls, including awards in ballet, football and for staff of the academy.

The Most Valuable Player award went to Emmanuel Chukwuemeka of Titans, Oyibo Ebuka of Royals won the Most Developed Player award, while, the Most Punctual Dancer award for Ballet went to Onyike Chinyere Sunshine of Elastic Queens.
