Footage of Max Verstappen playing PlayStation as a child shows he is a born winner

Max Verstappen is racing with the number one on his car with pride this season, after earning the right to race under that number by winning the Formula 1 World Championship last season.

The Dutch driver is known for his high risk, no-nonsense driving style – something that has earned him both praise and criticism from fellow drivers.

At only 24-years-old, Verstappen has 143 races under his belt, with 21 wins and 61 podiums. With time on his side, Max could go on to break several records in Formula 1 over his career – to the frustration of his biggest rival, Lewis Hamilton.

His rivalry with Hamilton will go down as one of the great F1 rivalries, even if it is still in its early stages.

They locked horns last season in a battle that captivated fans, with the pair ending up in a tangle more than once in the season and clashing in the media throughout the season.

Max’s competitive side was clear for everyone to see in the sport, but this is something that people who have followed Max for a while have known.

A video of a young Max racing on a game console shows how competitive the Dutch driver was, even at that young age, on a virtual racing game.

Max was involved in Formula 1 racing from a young age as his father, Jos Verstappen, was a Formula 1 driver between 1993 and 2003.

Jos’ ten year career wasn’t as successful as Max’s short career so far, Jos only had two podiums in his career but failed to win a race in his career.

Arguably his greatest gift to the sport was his son Max, a driver who will go down in the record books and a driver who probably has years of World Championship battles left in his tank.
