Five years on from Regan Tierney's tragic death, her family will finally get answers

The family of a young mum killed in murder-suicide five years ago are set to finally get answers from Greater Manchester Police and other agencies after it was confirmed her inquest will go ahead next month. Regan Tierney, 27, was found dead at her Salford home in June 2019. Her ex-partner Daniel Patten, 31, also found with critical injuries, died two days later in hospital.

At a hearing days after the five-year anniversary of Regan's death, representatives for the family said it was 'a very raw and upsetting' time. Her loved ones have previously criticised lengthy delays in the coronial proceedings.
