Five Manchester United signings Erik ten Hag can make this summer for £200m

Manchester United's new manager Erik ten Hag is expected to be involved in a busy summer as the club looks to rebuild following a disastrous 2021-22 campaign.

United are guaranteed Thursday night football next season however it is not yet clear whether it will be Europa League or Europa Conference League. Should United beat Crystal Palace on Sunday they will finish in the Europa League, however any slip-up would open the door for West Ham to overtake them should they beat Brighton and Hove Albion.

No matter which competition the Reds end up being a part of next season, new signings are desperately needed and expected. MEN Sport reported that United could allow Ten Hag between £20m and £200m in the summer to rebuild his squad.

With that in mind, the Daily Express has named five potential signings which the Dutchman could welcome to Old Trafford this season.

The Manchester Evening News has reported that centre-back is one of the transfer priorities for United this season. Ajax's Jurrien Timber has been linked with a move to England but it is his current teammate Martinez who has been highlighted as a potential target.

Martinez has become a stalwart alongside Timber in the Ajax team this season and the Argentine may provide better value for money than his colleague. It is believed the 24-year-old could be available for £25m.
