SUMMARY: Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne both missed out on centuries as Australia ensured no result would be possible in Rawalpindi. Labuschagne batted brilliantly before being caught at slip for 90, before Smith was out sweeping down the legside on 78. The match appears destined for a draw.
MAN OF THE MOMENT: Nauman Ali. The 35-year-old Pakistan finger spinner bowled with control throughout the day and eventually willed himself into four wickets. He almost bored Steve Smith into a wicket down legside after he missed two previous balls there.

KEY MOMENT: Marnus Labuschagne's dismissal. Not so much for the way it altered the Test, but he will rue the missed chance to score a century away from home. He went trying to drive a ball well away from his body on 90, only succeeding in edging to first slip.
STAT OF THE DAY: Steve Smith has only scored one century since the end of the 2019 Ashes, failing to convert a half-century for the seventh time in that period on Monday.
