First Benaud-Qadir Test, day five snapshot

PAKISTAN V AUSTRALIA, FIRST TEST, DAY FIVE:

Score: Pakistan 4-476 dec and 0-252 drew with Australia 459.

SUMMARY: Australia's tail folded quickly as Nauman Ali finished with 6-107, with Pakistan's 17-run lead ending any faint hopes of a result. Imam-ul-Haq claimed twin tons for the match and Abdullah Shafique scored him maiden Test century in just his sixth first-class match, as Australia rested their quicks for the majority of the day until teams shook hands an hour before stumps.

MAN OF THE MOMENT: Imam-ul-Haq. The Pakistan opener ended a two-year exodus in this match after weight of runs saw him called into the spot vacated by the ill Abid Ali. He made the most of it, becoming just the 10th Pakistan batsman in history to score centuries in both innings of a Test.

KEY MOMENT: Nauman Ali's early strikes. While the chance of a result was always extremely unlikely, his efforts to ensure Australia added just 10 to their overnight score meant they would not be able to build up the 100-run lead they thought could put some pressure on Pakistan.

STAT OF THE DAY: Australia's four wickets for the match was their least in any Test where they have bowled more than 200 overs.
