Fiorentina snare Serie A win at Spezia

Sofyan Amrabat has scored in the 89th minute to give Fiorentina a 2-1 victory at Spezia to move them closer to the European qualification places in Serie A.

The victory took eighth-placed Fiorentina to within a point of Roma and within three points of sixth-placed Lazio, with a game in hand over both.

Krzysztof Piatek passed up a glorious opportunity to put the visitors ahead with just 16 minutes gone when, after Arkadiusz Reca had fouled Nicolas Gonzalez inside the box, the striker fired his spot-kick onto the left-hand post.

Piatek made up for his penalty miss in the 42nd when he converted Youssef Maleh's cross to to give Fiorentina the lead.

Spezia equalised through substitute Kevin Agudelo in the 74th.

Amrabat's winner came with a shot from outside the area after an assist by Arthur Cabral.

Spezia are 14th, five points above the relegation zone.
