Fifth teenager arrested over murder of Dylan Keelan stabbed to death in Dukinfield

A fifth teenager was arrested in connection with the murder of Dylan Keelan, who was stabbed to death in Dukinfield last Friday.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested by police on Monday afternoon, 7 February 2022, on suspicion of murder in connection with the fatal incident that killed the 20 year old.

He remains in custody for questioning currently, police confirmed.

Four teenage boys who were arrested on suspicion of murder over the weekend have since been released; two under investigation and two under conditional bail.

Dylan was fatally stabbed at around 9.30pm on Cheetham Hill Road, Dukinfield, on Friday 4 February 2022.

In a moving statement on Sunday, Dylan's mum Nicole described him as a "lovely, hardworking, kind and respectful boy" and said his shock death had left her "broken and distraught."

A murder investigation has since been launched by GMP's Major Incident Team and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with information or dash cam footage from the surrounding area at around the time of the incident is asked to contact police.
