FIFA Club World Cup draw live - Man City and Chelsea learn opponents as Real Madrid and Messi wait

Manchester City will be given their three FIFA Club World Cup opponents on Thursday ahead of next summer's flagship tournament.

City are defending champions after beating Fluminense in Saudi Arabia in 2023, before FIFA have extended the tournament to 32 teams. It will mirror the World Cup in format, with a four-team group stage before a knockout stage starting with the last-16.

The Blues are top seeds for the tournament and are in Pot One, alongside the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG. They will definitely avoid Real until at least the semi-finals, while Bayern and PSG won't be in the same part of the draw if all those clubs win their groups.

City could face Juventus, Benfica, Salzburg or Atletico Madrid from Pot Two, while they could be drawn against Boca Juniors or Lionel Messi's Inter Miami from Pot Four.

Follow below for build-up, live coverage, and reaction from the draw.
