FIFA Best coaching shortlist revealed

World Cup-winning Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti have been shortlisted for the Best Men's Coach at FIFA's awards ceremony at the end of the month.

Scaloni masterminded a third World Cup win for La Albiceleste in Qatar as they saw off France in the most dramatic of finals.

Guardiola guided City to a fourth Premier League title in five years in 2022, while Ancelotti recorded a La Liga-Champions League double with Real Madrid.

England's Sarina Wiegman has been nominated for the Best Women’s Coach award having led the team to victory in the European Championship last year.

The Dutchwoman, who won the award in 2017 and 2020, goes up against Lyon’s Sonia Bompastor and Brazil’s Pia Sundhage.
